THE HELLERWORK SERIES

Hellerwork is a series of 11 sessions whereas each session builds on the next.  Each session has a theme that includes the three main components: deep tissue bodywork, movement education and self awareness dialogue.  These 11 sessions are organized in a deliberate and layering sequence that will increase your overall awareness of your relationship to your body as well as reduce tension and create ease of just being you.  The series is divided into sections:

 

The Superficial Sessions
Sessions #1-3 focus on the surface, or “superficial” layers and connective tissues in your body, the ones associated with the muscles we see in the mirror and are near the surface of your body.

 

The Core Sessions
Sessions #4-7 focus on the deeper core musculature and connective tissues in your body.  These core muscles assist you in stabilization, producing graceful and fluid movement.  Generally these muscles are under utilized, tight and immobile.

The Integrative Sessions
Sessions #8-11 will integrate your core and sleeve tissues and layers.  Reducing rotational pattern and creating overall healthy joint functionality are goals of these sessions.  Most sessions will include movement education to support your own exploration and understanding of how you use your body in daily life – and where changes, shifts and new habits can prolong the benefits of the bodywork and sustain your new body awareness – session 11 will include a review of all of the movement education work.

Individual Sessions

Stand alone sessions are typically following "the Hellerwork Series" and are individually tailored to meet the specific needs of the client.  The same format of using the 3 components is applied.
